Mariposa XVI


   


Mariposa XVI is a 16.2 hand mare, imported from Spain. She was bred by Manuel Delgado Berral from Ecjia, Spain, and has the $ brand. This breeder also bred Islamico, a brother to Mariposa, who was imported to Mexico and became the Champion of Mexico. The same breeder bred Mariscal who won the high school classes at SICAB. Mariposa was the Reserve Champion at the 2003 Fort Worth Nationals in the Pure Spanish Senior Mare class, and the National Champion Pure Spanish Senior Mares in 2004. Her daughter - Esmeralda was the National Champion Pure Spanish Yearling Filly the same year. Mariposa is the dam of Deco - who was Grand Champion at the Eastern Andalusian Horse Regionals. Mariposa is out of Cenicienta, and by Relampago III, a Lovera Military stallion.

Mariposa at the 2003 IALHA Nationals (Where she was Reserve Champion of Pure Spanish Senior Mare class). In 2004, she came back and was pinned National Champion Pure Spanish Senior Mare, the same year her daughter won National Champion Pure Spanish Yearling filly.
